Agatized Caddis Fly Larvae`

Product Description

Indonesia has it's share of gem grade rock like petrified Palm Root that has been replaced with agate and polishes like glass. It's one thing to find the agatized root with it's wood look that produces some cool looking cabs and then to find one with all these colorful round tube looking larvae from the Caddis fly. Are you kidding me? Seems they still lay their eggs/larvae in the root balls of the Palm tree. Wow, that takes some time to agatize and they still find the palm tree their choice so they obviously made the best choice to survive and be around another million or so. Must have had something happen that killed this larvae brood before they hatched. Looks like they and the root ball have survived frozen in time as agate. Very strange happening but an awesome end to eons of existence for an agate gem in the waiting. Now it's your turn to carry it on.-WET pic- 4"x 2"/2.2 oz./5mm thk) no fractures...perfect cutter
