Big Diggins Agate comes from Homers Little Diggins Mine in Luna County near Deming, New Mexico. This is the original mine but is now owned by two fellows that live in the area. They had an idea that maybe if they dug in the same spot where the famous agate was once surface collected, they would get lucky. They are now uncovering agate from 10 to 15 feet below the original surface and with each dig they uncover bigger and better pieces. This slab is amazing with the fine lilac fortification lines. Not something you'll see much of in Big Diggins agate. And if you like to preserve drusy pockets, this is a beautiful slab for you.-WET pic.-(3.5"x2"/2.6 oz./6mm thick) one sealed fracture
