This is from the Arizona Agate mine in Bloody Basin. It got its name from a story about how a band of indians attacked a supply wagon down on the Hassayampa, killing everyone and stealing the supplies. They got a posse together and went looking for revenge. They came accross a group of about a hundred indians in the area now called Bloody Basin. Even though they weren't sure these were the marauders, they annihilated them anyway. These are hand dug beauties by a fellow who sells odds and ends for the most part but also makes trips to the Basin every now and then to dig/collect agate. I bought my first box from him about seven years ago and this new batch just lately. -WET pic.- (4.6 oz. )
