From Brazil, this rare crystal of Cacoxenite in Amethyst exhibits brilliant Golden Cacoxenite Crystals in deep purple amethyst. If you decipher the word Cacoxenite it means "Bad Guest". Back in time, the smelters of ore called it that because the cacoxenite in the iron ore did make for less quality iron. It was a bad guest for the ore but a good guest for us stone wearers. This rough produces unbelievable cabs or free form pendants. -WET pic.-(2.5"x 1.5"/1.2 oz. /5mm thk) careful cutting w/ newer thin blade, that's the ticket cutting quartz crystal
