The Chuckawalla Spring area in Riverside County, California is where you'll find this rough chalcedony . It's obvious it formed in the mountain crevices as water ran down the sides and filled the voids with minerals or chalcedony. This was from the biggest chunk in a lot I received that was collected in the 70's. The common color of this rough is clear to milky. When I cut this chunk in half, I saw the inside crystals and the halo of amethyst for a pleasant surprise. I polished it and what a beautiful piece to show. 12.6 oz.)
