Baumgartental Thunder eggs/Geodes come from two different locations with one coming from the eastern side of a large ridge and the rarer one from the west. The west side you will need permission to dig the extremely hard ground to at least 6 ft. down and they can be as deep as 10 ft. and this wild land doesn't help. They are worth the trouble because these are very beautiful eggs with delicate fine banding agate structure in an equally delicate, soft, brown matrix.
