Howardite Jasper

Product Description

There is no known location where this elusive stone came from. Biggest rumors say northern Nevada but back in 1959 a popular gemstone magazine had it coming out of California. The name certainly makes you think of the finder being a Howard of sorts. The demand for this awesome silicated bog looking stuff has always been big and finding any is a matter of waiting for old collections to surface. I found this amazing polished faced chunk under the name Rattlesnake Jasper which is it's other name. -DRY-(6 oz.) natural sealed fractures and exceptionally solid for this material
