Agatized Sponge .

This is weird rough from Durango, Mexico. It's a petrified sponge, replaced with agate. Pretty neat stuff that has a bluish purple translucent agate with black dendrite action going on. The outside looks just like a sea sponge. -WET pic.-(3"x 3"/2.6 oz./6mm thick) no fractures
