This Sweethome Oregon Jasper got its name from the two men who discovered it. They named it after their wives, Belva and Dee. This is TOP SHELF rough from an old 60's collection that had been bought recently. It has also fallen into a lost story too because more than one seller has looked at the name and not knowing the story, took off an "e" from the end and turned it into Belvade. Now we have a long "a" in the name that has totally changed it. There is no town or persons name to connect to Belvadee. I hope to keep the name alive for Belva and Dee. Belvadee Jasper is one of the most colorful of jaspers found anywhere and beats many others by far for color. -WET pic. - (5 lbs. 2 oz.) no fractures. this is the last piece I have, and it is special! Look at the pattern and colors on this amazing showpiece- WOW
