Bumble Bee Jasper~

This is a super stone from Indonesia and years ago word had it that the dig is near a volcano and has flooded making it impossible to mine any more. They made a new access to the seam but the material in that area is pale and has much less color. This material is actually onyx and has some arsenic (dark yellow squiggly line) in it to take into consideration when working with it. Do not dry sand or grind and you will not have any issues. Use a liquid coolant to keep any dust away and wear gloves and mask to be safe. No one has ever complained of any problems as far as I know. It certainly cuts a pretty stone, that's for sure.   -WET pic.- (1 lb. 9 oz.) typical onyx issues....no obvious fractures
