This agate is from the Bighorn Canyon location in Montana and the mine has been closed for many years and will likely never open due to silly restrictions like the Prudent Man law for instance. To this day, it is a remote area of unsettled land and for many years the native Indians used this area for driving buffalo off the cliffs to their death. Story has it they would stack the heads to dry in the sun to later be used in rituals...........much of this rough is fractured from the mining process but this Top Shelf slab only has a few minor fractures seen making this full patterned gem a real cool find...WET pic. (3"x 3"/2 oz./3mm) no fractures.....<<Collectors Allert>> perfect show piece
