East Java Plume Agate,

There's a man from the states who has gone to Indonesia many times to find some of the most exotic high quality agates and jaspers and this is one of them. He's well known as the fellow who will pay money for pretty rocks. When he visits he is approached by farmers who unearth a nice stone on their land or people doing other kinds of things and find an interesting stone. They hold onto it and remember where they found it so they can show him. If he likes it he buys it from them and asks where they found it so he can help them try and find the source. If they find the vein they organize the native people to mine it and the guy buys it from them to sell back in the states. A couple years ago an old man found a chunk of this particular material and after about a year of persistent prospecting they found the small vein and in a few months it was all gone after collecting only 2 tons or so. -WET pic.-(4"x 2"/2.4 oz./6mm thk) no fractures...perfect cutter
