Moab Agate*

In the 50's uranium ore was discovered south of Moab, Utah and prospectors came hoping to strike it rich by finding another deposit. Many agate deposits were uncovered all over the Moab area. When the 60's got here the tumbler was being invented, the lapidary field was about to blossom and people grabbed all the agates from the spoils of the uranium digs. -WET pic.-(1 lb. 14 oz.) end cut
