Mt. St. Helen's Carnelian

This rough came from a 1976 collection and was found near Spirit Lake, in the foothills of Mount Saint St Helen's, Washington. At that time you could go anywhere in that area and dig where the lava flows have turned back to soil leaving the agates behind in the dirt. Even back then you'd better get permission from the land owner. Got to think things are different now after the 80's eruption. -WET pic-(1 lb.)
