North of Horseshoe Dam, Yavapai County, Arizona, there's a bridge across the Verde River that originally was built to move sheep herds across the river. Today it has been reconstructed for hikers. The sight is very hard to get to with a 4 hr. drive down a nasty dirt road to where you can't drive anymore then a 2-hr. dangerous hike along the river. The agate is plentiful on the ground (float) and you can pick all the best stuff you can carry back which only makes the dangerous moves around boulders that jut out over the river even harder. -WET pic. -(1 lb. 15 oz.) no fractures...great cutter
