Smithsonite`

James Lewis Macie Smithson, a British chemist and mineralogist helped found the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., and who also was able to distinguish Smithsonite from Hemimorphite which had been thought to be one and the same. It comes in almost every major color on the chart. There are over one thousand localities for Smithsonite and this is one sweet color combo in this slab with layers of light green/white onyx with orange/brown/tan Smithsonite -WET pic.-(3"x 2"/2 oz./5mm thk)  no fractures
