Sea Lilly Fossil Stone

This type of Crinoid, in its adult form, are attached to the sea bottom by a stalk. There are also Feather Stars, a type that is not attached to the bottom and are free swimming. These are marine animals not plants and they are in a tight grain marble matrix that is great for cutting cabs.  -WET pic. -(2 lbs. 15 oz.) solid...no fractures
